Hello.

Philippa (she/they) is a writer from the northern edge of the Cotswolds. That’s the scruffy bit, with no tourists but an excess of bolshy foxes.

Philippa writes fantasy fiction with watery world-building and Autistic characters kicking ass. Philippa also writes neuroqueer horror-inflected poetry, which has been published online and in print. Philippa is an alum of Curtis Brown Creative and Faber Academy.

Philippa is constantly trying to make a home beneath a pile of unread books. They would like to go to Ankh-Morpork, thank you very much. They feel deeply awkward writing about themselves in the third person.

• The River Thieves was longlisted for the Goldfinch Novel Award in June 2026.

• The Whitewashed House was an honourable mention in the Dark Poets International Poetry Prize IV in 2026.

• Summer Body Horror was shortlisted for the Dark Poets ‘Small Spaces Big Impact’ Poetry Prize in 2025.
